Enterprising Finance realised an exit for Fund I through the strategic combination of Construsoft with EDRMedeso. This transaction marks the next phase of development for Construsoft.
We celebrate the entrepreneurship of Jan Fennema and Eric Vanmechelen who anticipated and co-developed the digitization of construction design and established Construsoft into an international reseller of Tekla, IDEA, Strumis and SketchUp software. Their combination of technical know-how and excellent salesmanship resulted in the international expansion of Construsoft geographical reach while actively co-developing especially the Tekla software platform.
Enterprising Finance is proud it could contribute to the ownership transfer from Jan and Eric into the skilled hands of Green Park Investment Partners. The transaction occurred during Construsoft’s transition from a license-based to a SaaS sales model, materially affecting financial performance and adding complexity to the financing process. In its approach of assessing value and creating credit safeguards, Enterprising Finance offered a financing solution suited to this multi-jurisdictional business and co-invested in the equity.
During our loan tenure, Construsoft transferred to a new leadership team headed by Wouter Hartemink and Bram van den Heuvel, who prepared the company for further expansion, marked by the prominent EDRMedeso acquisition announced this week.
Our partnership with Construsoft and Green Park is expressive of the Enterprising Finance investment strategy. We focus on lower middle market companies that bring innovation in for example: work efficiency, food chain quality and climate stress reduction. Construsoft’s software significantly reduces waste of materials during large construction projects. Our mix of senior credit and risk capital in a single stop offers these companies the right balance sheet to realise growth and transformation and capture the value thereof, preparing them for bold next moves and more traditional capital market access.
